KC Miller is an activist who founded Keystone Coalition for Advancing Sex Education while only a sophomore in high school. Since then, he’s grown into a familiar face in the Philadelphia area as a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusive and comprehensive sex education. Miller created a peer counseling organization called SHAE where high school students are empowered with tools to teach their peers about sexual health. In 2017, he was recognized with the Young Hero Award by the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia. His work has been covered by NBC, Fox, ABC, Vice News, Broadly, and he has even given a Ted Talk about the importance of proper sex ed. Currently, he works to lobby legislators in favor of comprehensive sex ed, he sits as the Executive Director of Keystone CASE, is a consultant for high schools, political campaigns, and other organizations who wish to be more LGBTQ+ inclusive. Miller attends University of Pennsylvania as a dual-degree scholar studying nursing and healthcare management.
